Wow, there sure are a lot of determinants out there! From possessive adjectives to demonstrative pronouns, it can be hard to keep track of them all. But don’t worry - I’m here to help! Let’s take a look at how many determinants there are and what they mean. You’ll be an expert in no time!

Well, determiners can be articles, demonstratives, possessives, indefinites, numerals and interrogative-exclamatory. Ya know? They’re all the little words that come before a noun to give it more context. Like ’the’, ‘a’, ‘some’, ‘my’ and so on. Got it?
Artículos: Son palabras invariables que se usan para determinar el género y el número de un sustantivo. Los artículos en español son “el”, “la”, “los” y “las”.
Posesivos: Son palabras invariables que se usan para indicar posesión o pertenencia. Los posesivos en español son “mi”, “tu”, “su”, “nuestro” y “vuestro”.
Demostrativos: Son palabras invariables que se usan para indicar la proximidad o lejanía de un objeto respecto al hablante. Los demostrativos en español son “este”, “ese”, “aquel”, “esto”, “eso” y “aquello”.
Numerales: Son palabras invariables que se usan para contar cosas o personas individualmente o por grupos (cardinales) o para ordenarlas (ordinales). Los numerales cardinales en español son “uno/a”, “dos/as”, etc., mientras los numeral
Well, there’s a lot of ’em! There’re determiners for just about everything - countable nouns, uncountable nouns, possessive pronouns…you name it. So yeah, there’s a ton of ’em out there. Y’know, articles like ‘a’, ‘an’, and ’the’, demonstratives like ’this’ and ’that’, possessives like ‘my’ and ‘your’ - they all count as determiners. Bottom line: lots!
