Well, it was a bummer when the Port Authority had to pull the plug on that direct rail link between LaGuardia/JFK and Manhattan back in ‘95. Before AirTrain JFK came along in ‘97, Mayor Rudy Giuliani was giving the Port Authority a hard time over money issues, so he wasn’t too keen on building it.
